Historia ya Lithuania inahusu eneo la Ulaya ambalo wakazi wake leo wanaunda Jamhuri ya Lithuania.

Kuanzia karne ya 13 Lithuania ilikuwa nchi huru na imara iliyoteka maeneo mengi; kufikia karne ya 15, ikiwa pamoja na Polandi, ilikuwa kubwa kuliko nchi zote za Ulaya.

Mwaka 1795 nchi hizo mbili zilifutwa, na Lithuania ikawa sehemu ya Dola la Urusi.

Mwaka 1918, ikawa tena nchi huru, lakini mwaka 1940 Warusi waliiteka tena.

Miaka 1940 - 1990 nchi ilikuwa jamhuri mwanachama wa Umoja wa Kisovyeti.

Baada ya umoja huo wa majimbo 15 kusambaratika, Lithuania ilijitangaza nchi huru.

Lithuania imekuwa nchi mwanachama ya Umoja wa Ulaya tangu tarehe 1 Mei 2004.
