Ualimu wa kanisa

Kwa jina hilo Kanisa Katoliki linamaanisha mamlaka yake katika kufundisha imani na maadili ili kudumisha, kustawisha na kueneza karne hadi karne hazina ya imani iliyofunuliwa na Mungu hasa katika Yesu Kristo na kukabidhiwa kwa Mitume wake.

Ngazi za uzito wa ualimu

Ualimu unaweza kuwa wa kawaida na usio wa kawaida.

Ule wa kawaida ndiyo namna ambayo Papa wa Roma na Maaskofu wenzake wanatoa mafundisho yao siku kwa siku kwa njia ya hotuba, barua na maandishi mengine.

Kumbe ule usio wa kawaida unatolewa kwa fahari ya pekee, kwa mfano katika Mtaguso mkuu au katika tamko rasmi la kudumu linalotolewa na Papa kwa niaba ya Maaskofu wote.
