Wenseslaus I
Wenseslaus I (kwa Kicheki Václav, ˈvaːtslaf[1]; 907 hivi - 28 Septemba 935) alikuwa mtawala (kníže)[2] wa Bohemia tangu mwaka 921 hadi alipouawa na watu waliotumwa na mdogo wake, Boleslaus I.
Alilelewa katika hekima ya kiutu na ya Kimungu na bibi yake Ludmila. Ingawa alikuwa mkali kwake mwenyewe, alikuwa mpenda amani katika kuendesha nchi na mwenye huruma kwa fukara. Alikomboa watumwa wengi Wapagani waliokuwa wanauzwa huko Praha, ili wafikie ubatizo. Kisha kukabili matatizo mengi katika kuongoza na kuinjilisha wananchi wake, aliuawa kanisani[3].
Anaheshimiwa kama mtakatifu mfiadini.[4][5][6]
Sikukuu yake huadhimishwa tarehe 28 Septemba[7][8][9]. Nchini Ucheki ndiyo sikukuu ya taifa.
