Nikola Owen
Nikola Owen, S.J. (Oxford, 1560 hivi – London, 22 Machi 1606) alikuwa bradha Mjesuiti aliyesaidia sana kudumisha imani Katoliki nchini Uingereza [1].
Alitangazwa mwenye heri na Papa Pius XI mwaka 1929 na mtakatifu mwaka 1976 na Papa Paulo VI.
Sikukuu yake huadhimishwa na Wakatoliki tarehe ya kifodini chake[2].

Baada ya kulemaa mguu, kwa miaka mingi alifanya kazi ya kusaidia na kuficha [3][4] mapadri waliofanya utume nchini bila kujali dhuluma ya serikali, wakiwemo ndugu zake wawili [5] na Edmundi Campion[6]. Kwa ajili hiyo aliwahi kufungwa na kuteswa (1581 na 1594)[7].
Alijiunga na Wajesuiti mwaka 1597 akaendelea na huduma zake muhimu hadi alipokamatwa[8][9] na kuteswa kikatili kwa siku kadhaa na hatimaye kuchanwa vipandevipande chini ya mfalme James I[10].
