John Michael Talbot

Hi, Muddyb!

I greatly appreciate you wanting to translate the article for John Michael Talbot! Do you want me to help you understand the words that are in the third box? (the one where everything is in English). I will be off this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from work, so I can help you then. You can write me directly through my email address if you want: jhendin@comcast.net. Jhendin (majadiliano) 22:27, 8 Juni 2009 (UTC)

Picha

What if it will be a graphite picture, black and white, but not with Indian ink. The Indian ink could make it bad, but if I'd use graphite pencil, it could be as a real picture. I was thinking to create your picture with ink, but then I think, I had to change it like the Anatomy in four pieces picture, so with detailed background. Now this evening I draw a plan about it, I will continue this untill monday, then if you don't like it, I could make another one. --Eino81 (majadiliano) 22:10, 13 Juni 2009 (UTC)

What if I will make your picha later, only some days later. On tuesday I will have an exam, and I need to learn for that, yesterday and today I was thinking so much about your picha, that I could not learn :) On Wednesday I will finish it, the cirlce lines are already ready. --Eino81 (majadiliano) 19:35, 14 Juni 2009 (UTC)
Hi! It's coming. sorry fort this another delay, butz I wasn't here at home since Wednesday, but I planned to scan it tomorrow, if I will finish it tonite, and I hope, I will, as I wrote, the lines are ready :) --Eino81 (majadiliano) 18:55, 19 Juni 2009 (UTC)
Hi my friend! So, here it is. what do you think, is it you? If you don't like it or the style, just write me, then I'll try to make a better one. It was night, when I draw it, so I was a little bit tired :( But I hope, you like it... It's now in the commons, so you can use in any Wikipedia, I hope, they won't delete it. --Eino81 (majadiliano) 12:13, 20 Juni 2009 (UTC)
Muddyb Blast

Firstly I thought, that the swwiki-picture is better, but later I draw the enwiki-picture :) --Eino81 (majadiliano) 13:47, 20 Juni 2009 (UTC)

As I saw, you made once a Hungarian User page, so I translated it into Hungarian, if you want, you could write more there and I will translate it. hu:Szerkesztő:Muddyb Blast Producer And weel, I don't know, how I make the pictures :) sometimes they are so wrong, sometimes not --Eino81 (majadiliano) 15:21, 20 Juni 2009 (UTC)
It's OK, I made it better :) --Eino81 (majadiliano) 16:01, 22 Juni 2009 (UTC)

Jimbo ya Aljeria

Well, Wilaya ya Illizi (Aljeria) looks pretty good. I moved each "wilaya" to "jimbo"; the article categorizations still need to be changed. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 11:34, 18 Juni 2009 (UTC)

Um, I don't suppose you yourself would want to move those 48 articles; I am not completely sure that each one is unique to Aljeria, and I don't exactly have a solid grasp on the differences between za, la and ya. It only takes a minute anyway. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 12:25, 18 Juni 2009 (UTC)
You know, the Algerians have a system of numbering the provinces, it's very interesting. The maps in Commons are named with the numbers of the province, and there are no description notes to know which map goes with which province! One checks each one against the en or fr province article to make sure the numbers are in sync. ... It's similar to the system of Cambodia and Peru. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 12:42, 18 Juni 2009 (UTC)
Yes, the infobox is the next step. First the article stub, then the category, the map, the navbox, and then the infobox. ... I don't mind writing sets of good-quality stubs for areas which are empty; if I could write I would be writing articles for government ministries and companies on the soko la hisa. As far as writing company articles is concerned, it is good to build the geography infrastructure as one goes along. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 14:15, 18 Juni 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I will start adding infoboxes to the Algeria stubs tomorrow. If you could check the double-redirects at Algeria#Wilaya za Aljeria, it would be easier for me to do so. Whoever wrote the list, (which I used to create the 48 stub articles) used the "wilaya" instead of the "jimbo". I will also put infoboxes on ~26 new stub articles in Jamii:Majimbo ya Sudan, and the 6 at Jamii:Eneo za Eritrea. I will try to make a new infobox as well. It should be fun. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 21:51, 18 Juni 2009 (UTC)

kuomba msaada

Mwanzo

Mwanzo page looks very good, reminds me of the Korean welcome page - ko:위키백과:대문.... I was thinking about the Algerian states; after seeing your efforts with the infobox at Adrar I realized that I wouldn't be able to do nearly as well.... I am going to work on NBA team articles; when those are squared away, in the future, do you think it would be wise for me to start ~10 articles on FIFA teams in Hispania, Uingereza, Italia, Misri, Ujerumani? en:FC Barcelona, Roma, en:PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea, Arsenal, en:Manchester United, Real Madrid, en:Aston Villa, Liverpool, Inter Milan ... etc. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 17:21, 23 Juni 2009 (UTC)

Hi, my friend!

I made a "friend-list" on my Hungarian Wiki page, you can see it under the two pictures (as "külföldi barátok"), and you are one of them, with the Tansanian flag :) In these days I got some friend from other Wikipedias. So, if you have any request, just write me. There is one thing. I have a friend, he is a professional basketball player. Yesterday I made his English article. He is from the same village (Ecser) as also me. I thought, it would be great (and interesting) to him to read about himself in Swahili. But only if you want to do that. You know, the Swahili is very interesting to us, Hungarians :) Do you know Sámuel Teleki (en:Sámuel Teleki)? He was a Hungarian explorer, who went to Kenya (I don't know, whether he was in Tansania). Never mind, the point is that from the book of him I started to collect my first Swahili words :) Have a nice day! --Eino81 (majadiliano) 06:50, 24 Juni 2009 (UTC)

Thank you again! :) Surely he will be happy. I will translate for him this article in Finnish and in Saami. But if you have any request, don't hesitate to ask. --Eino81 (majadiliano) 10:18, 24 Juni 2009 (UTC)
It's better, thanks! :) Maybe I will put there someting else. --Eino81 (majadiliano) 12:12, 24 Juni 2009 (UTC)

Jamii:Miji ya Norway

Hey there Blast! Could you delete this category for me - someone created in the wrong place, it should be Jamii:Miji ya Norwei. Flowerparty (majadiliano) 09:23, 6 Julai 2009 (UTC)

Shukurani! A remote island is an island that is far away from the next piece of land. Are you translating?
I have another question. I believe Jamii:Miji Mikuu Afrika should be called Jamii:Miji mikuu ya Afrika. The others in jamii:miji mikuu are the same. Could you make me an mkabidhi here so I can fix these? Flowerparty 09:09, 9 Julai 2009 (UTC)

Mtumiaji:Tinkywinkydipsylaalaapo! is translating some of the plot of The Fox and the Hound. But it isn't finnished yet and will probably take someone like you to complatr.

Naomba nisaidie nipate kuwaeleza hao --Kipala (majadiliano) 17:19, 7 Julai 2009 (UTC)

Mzee wangu, salaam! Kumradhi kwa kuchelewa kukujibu. Nilikuwa sipo kidogo. Halafu nina swali moja, Uturuki wao hutumia majimbo au mikoa? Wako kijana mtiifu,--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 05:45, 9 Julai 2009 (UTC)

Rural towns, farming communities

Mainly, "Rural communities" are small towns with agriculture. In America they could be called "small towns". Maybe, it looks like this: commons:File:Neerabup farms.jpg..... Say, when is there going to be a category Jamii:Mikoa nchi kwa nchi? --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 06:26, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)

Here:

  1. Urban = Boston, Arusha, = Picha:Transit.strike.madison.ave.jpg
  2. Suburban = en:File:South San Jose (crop).jpg
  3. Rural = as above.--Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 06:41, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)
Ahaa. So, rural communities it is the same as small towns. What if I want to translate en:List_of_cities_in_Armenia#Urban_communities into Kiswahili, would be what? I can't really say it anymore. So, I have to leave them as they are.--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 07:28, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)
Just say Orodha ya miji ya Armenia. I don't know who is going to write stubs for all those Armenian villages with 642 or 534 people..... one thing about "rural" is that it sounds like "Ruhr" in Kijerumani. It is Germany's biggest industrial area. The Ruhr has 30 cities, 7 subway systems, and is a very busy place. If people from "rural communities" need work, they will go to "The Ruhr" to work in a factory. Maybe Baba Tabita knows about this. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 08:15, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)
Maybe. In this list, it just means that the mji (village) is far away from the mji (city). => Rural just means vijijini, as in Dodoma vijijini / Dodoma Mjini. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 08:23, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)
Aye, all those words I know if RURAL vijijini and URBAN is mijini. But all those two has nothing to do with what are written in the English Wikipedia article. What they wrote is community, that's all. See what I did just for an experiment. Then do comment on it. Cheers.--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 08:30, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)
In Kiswahili, "Mji" can mean Arusha, and it also can mean Bereko. In English, "Arusha" is a city and "Bereko" is a town (and maybe a rural community). "Community" is a word that means "city", "town", and "village", like the word "Mji" in Kiswahili. ......Orodha: "Date incorporated" means "The year that the 'community' was made into an official city, with a government. For instance, please look at this map:
. The gray areas are cities, like Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Compton, etc. The white areas are just California land, or Los Angeles land, and don't belong to any town or city. Maybe the white areas are high mountains or desert, or wild country, with very few people. "Unincorporated" means that there are no official schools, or taxes, or water, or electricity. "Date incorporated" means the date the government was formed, like 1776 in Marekani or 1961 in Tanzania. It doesn't mean "Date of census / sensa kwa mwaka" --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 09:01, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)
I guess. I think I need a new dictionary. Teach Yourself Swahili Dictionary says: Founder = mwenye kwanzisha; and Anzishwa = be started off; so maybe that's about right. .... The rural communities in "Maeneo ya vijijini" have no year of incorporation so maybe in the case of en:List of Armenian cities, "rural" = "unincorporated". That actually makes sense. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 09:29, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)
OK! I just bought this book for US$16.47 http://www.amazon.com/Swahili-English-English-Swahili-Practical-Dictionary-Hippocrene/dp/0781804809/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1248170015&sr=8-1 - it should be very helpful. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 09:55, 21 Julai 2009 (UTC)

12 x 103

You know, I noticed we were on 11,989 a few days ago, and I thought, maybe I will have the honor of creating the 12,000th article. But, I had so many stub tags to move, and so many Wilaya categories to do, I had forgotten about it! Mr A --24.2.139.110 12:59, 25 Julai 2009 (UTC)

Sure. You deserve to be congratulated! The stubs articles it's not so bad actually, 'cause there's so many Wikipedias which has a large number of the stubs. Our Wikipedia it's good one - we don't have so many stubs!!! But anyway, what do you think on this step we moved? It's cool or what? Cheers.--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 13:06, 25 Julai 2009 (UTC)
Ndugu, samahani kwa kuingilia maongezi yenu. Nilitaka tu kuwapongeza pamoja (I congratulate you both) kwa kuvusha wiki yetu ng'ambo ya 12,000. Vipi? All the best! --Riccardo Riccioni (majadiliano) 07:41, 26 Julai 2009 (UTC)
Umeelewa?--06:30, 27 Julai 2009 (UTC)

After Thriller was released in 1982, the great producer Quincy Jones became quite famous. Hell, yeah. I know him (Will Smith) and his sitcom, but I didn't know if Quincy Jones was the producer of that tv show! Sooner or later I will start writting about Quincy Jones. Cheers.--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 09:07, 28 Julai 2009 (UTC)

Hahaha. Indeed. I will write many things about him (I'll try my best)! Eventhough it's not quite easy to write his all stuffs... May I ask you a question: what is "kifereji"?--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 10:54, 28 Julai 2009 (UTC)
Oh, sure. My US$17.46 Hippocrene dictionary from Amazaon defines "soundtrack" as "kifereji cha sauti". There's also "wimbi ya sauti" - sound waves; and "mapambo ya sauti" - sound effects. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 06:13, 1 Agosti 2009 (UTC)
Ahaa, but the Swahili sometimes change according to the time. Currently we are not using "kifereji cha sauti", but "kibwagizo". Wimbi la sauti, okay, still right there, but "mapambo ya sauti"? Hell, yeah, but we are not using much as many as this one: "vionjo vya sauti"!--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 07:04, 1 Agosti 2009 (UTC)

That's great, I had forgotten that. I wonder if Ian Anderson, the guy from en:Jethro Tull the rock band that uses flute in every song, heard this Bossa Nova song around the house all the time growing up. I myself heard Charlie Parker and John Coltrane a real lot when I was young. ... And perhaps you've been to en:User talk:Dr. Blofeld, the guy with 240,000 edits? It's quite an education in stub creation. He's got a big setup based on "Evil Dr. Blofeld of SPECTRE", based upon the villain from that movie with this song. I cheked it out, but I saw nothing concerning with Jones. Did they wrote anything about him?--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 15:33, 28 Julai 2009 (UTC)
I don't know. I've spent a lot of time since Michael Jackson passed away, thinking about the culture of Indiana, Chicago and Gary, Indiana. As I am from Massachusetts, near the sea, the way things are done in this prairie area is a puzzle to me sometimes. He was like a king, (although America has no kings), from the Midwest, and he and his family worked hard for the very great success and good position they have, but it became too difficult for him in particular to continue. I remember as a kid in the 1960s, watching the Jackson 5 on Tuesday night, and en:the Osmonds on Sunday night, and I guess there were other similar bands at the time like en:The Partridge Family. I didn't watch a lot of TV. Only Michael and the Jacksons had the talent and ability to continue, and everyone of course was so pleased when Off the Wall and Thriller etc were released in the 80s and 90s; not every child star has such great success as an adult. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 06:13, 1 Agosti 2009 (UTC)

John Michael Talbot

Muddyb, here is an easier way to understand that paragraph for JMT:

" It is a community that is made up of many different types of people, with brothers and sisters who are unmarried, as well as families. In 1989 Talbot married (with the permission of the Catholic Church) a woman named Viola Pratka, who once was an Incarnate Word Sister (sister:nun; 'Incarnate Word Sister' is a Catholic order) who had come to the community in 1986. Talbot is the Head Minister and Spiritual Father. For many years Talbot has supported (given money to) Mercy Corp, which is an organization that helps people when tragedy occurs. In 2008 the Hermatige (kiswahili: Kificho, it is the name of the community) suffered a fire that destroyed the library and many other buildings. The community is praying to God for help to replace the many things that were lost in the fire. Talbot spends a lot of time touring as a singer to help support (make money for) the community". Bwana Muddyb - HONGERA!!!

Basi mambo ndivyo yalivyokwenda! Pole kwa safari na kazi pia. Eti nikuulize swali: upo huku kwetu Afrika ima usharudi Uzunguni?--Mwanaharakati (Longa) 11:24, 3 Agosti 2009 (UTC)
Asante kwa maelezo. Bila shaka utawapongeza wenzetu inavyopasa. Kujibu swali: Niko safarini Uzunguni kifupi tu ila mwezi huuhuu nitarudi kwetu Afrika. --Baba Tabita (majadiliano) 12:45, 3 Agosti 2009 (UTC)

So far it looks pretty good. I'll take a look at it more when I get home from work tonight. Jhendin (majadiliano) 09:32, 6 Agosti 2009 (UTC)

Serikali

Hi, thanks so very much for checking the tables for Austria and Ukraine. I'm still checking the Ukraine table. I have made another table, at Mtumiaji:Mr Accountable/Sandbox 2#Tebu, of the goverment ministries of Tanzania. The English names and the ministry internet addresses are ready to go, but the table needs the Kiswahili names of the Ministries; and the minister/waziri names; the minister names could be added after the table is in place in an article. Thanks again. --Mr Accountable (majadiliano) 19:54, 9 Agosti 2009 (UTC)
