Fosyo

Fosyo (kwa Kigiriki: Φώτιος, Fōtios[1]; Konstantinopoli (leo nchini Uturuki), 810/820 – Bordi, Armenia, 6 Februari 893) alikuwa Patriarki wa Konstantinopoli miaka 858-867 halafu 877-886;[2] Kwa ujuzi wake mkubwa[3] na kwa umuhimu wake katika historia ya Kanisa, Waorthodoksi wanamuita Fosyo Mkuu[4].
Farakano la muda la miaka 863-867 kati ya Kanisa la Roma na lile la Konstantinopoli kuhusu upatriarki wa Fosyo lilikuwa baya kuliko yote kabla ya farakano la mwaka 1054 ambalo limedumu hadi leo kati ya Ukristo wa Magharibi na Waorthodoksi.
Tangu kale anaheshimiwa na Waorthodoksi kwama mtakatifu[5], ingawa alitangazwa rasmi mwaka 1847 tu.
