Emily Nakalema (aliyezaliwa Emily Kyomugisha, Januari 20, 1994) ni mwanamasumbwi wa kike kutoka Uganda[1] akishindana katika kitengo cha uzito wa welter.[2] Kufikia Julai 2019, alikuwa nahodha wa timu ya kitaifa ya mabondia wa kike ya Uganda, She Bombers.[3] Yeye pia ni mshindi wa medali ya shaba katika Mashindano ya Kufuzu ya Olimpiki ya Ndondi ya Afrika ya 2020.

Historia na elimu

Emily Nakalema alizaliwa Emily Kyomugisha kwa Samuel na Teopista Kyomugisha huko Mbarara[4] na ni wa tatu kuzaliwa katika familia ya watu watano. Alisoma Shule ya Msingi Kulumba kisha akajiunga na Shule ya Sekondari ya Allied kwa mwaka wake wa kwanza wa sekondari. Baadaye alianzishwa katika Shule ya Upili ya Citizen, Mbarara kwa mapenzi ya michezo ambapo aliacha shule mwaka wa 2016[4] na kuhamia jiji la Kampala.

Kujihusisha na michezo

Emily Nakalema alianza kucheza kandanda[5] na kushiriki katika timu ya Mbarara United FC katika ziara za mikoani[6] kabla ya kuhamia Kampala na hatimaye kuanza ndondi mwaka wa 2018.[7]

Anapiga boxing chini ya klabu ya ndani, Katwe Boxing Club[8][9] na pia amewakilisha Uganda katika ngazi ya kikanda na bara.
