Unused/licensed pictures

Hello there.

I have an idea. What if I give you a temporary admin rights to take down all unwanted images which you pointed out recently? Would that work out fine for you? I'm all ears. Our hands are tied here. Hello User:Muddyb! Sorry about your health. Hope it will be better soon! It will be best if local users clean up. But if you do not have time I can help delete the unused files etc.

It is important that it is clear to everyone which files are allowed. For example photos of living people almost never eligible for fair use per wmf:Resolution:Licensing_policy (see number 3). Files like Faili:Nembo TPDC.jpg is most likely okay it just needs a template like Template:Non-free logo. But sw.wiki should have an Exemption Doctrine Policy (EDP) and add it to m:Non-free_content#Wikipedia / d:Q4391089.

And about the free files if everyone add {{Information}} and fill out the fields then it is easier to see if a file is okay or not. I can add the template with my bot however only the uploader can add the relevant information. --MGA73 (majadiliano) 06:00, 19 Agosti 2024 (UTC)

I'm marking files on Commons with a NowCommons template. If the name on Commons is different I can replace it like Special:Diff/1350158 with my bot. There are 71 files in Mtumiaji:MGA73/Sandbox and I marked half. I think it is okay to make those few edits without a bot flag. Hello User:Muddyb! And happy new year to you too! I can help clean up but I will have to communicate mostly in English. I can try to use a translator but I do not know if they are accurate. Hello User:Muddyb! Just a status. All files without a license are now in Jamii:Files with no license. There is one file in difference but I will find it. :-)

Next step could be to go to the category and look for logos for example add add Template:Non-free logo, albums and add Template:Non-free album cover etc. Usually we do not need a very good rationale to keep those because it is obvious that there are no free alternatives. The problems are photos of people.

Unused files are in Maalum:FailiZisizotumika. In order to find your find your files I first need to make a list of who uploaded. So you can either have a look and see if you remember your uploads or you can wait a little. --MGA73 (majadiliano) 19:28, 8 Januari 2025 (UTC)

Broken links JS

Hello,

I have been meaning to ask you this for quite sometimes now. I have tried to create the JS codes using the AI model like Copilot and ChatGPT. Turns out I'm facing some challenges. Would you please be so kind as to view the codes here? Just to make sure if everything is place. I want to remove all the broken links with a minimal time frame. I have a similar problem that I have not fixed yet :-) But I see that you also have problems with linebreaks. Line 16 to 24 are spread over several lines instead of one. I will see if there are other ways to fix broken links. If it is a typo in the link perhaps it should be fixed instead? It did not work as I hoped. First I need the names of the files not the names of the articles. Second it seems I have to run bot for each file separately. Third it only worked on two out of five files. See Special:Diff/1386343 for an example. --MGA73 (majadiliano) 13:51, 16 Januari 2025 (UTC)
