Robert Fulton (14 Novemba 1765 - 25 Februari 1815) alikuwa mhandisi na mvumbuzi wa Marekani aliyebuni na kutengeneza meli ya mvuke iliyokuwa ya kwanza kufaulu kiuchumi.
Fulton alifanya kazi katika Ulaya, yaani Ufaransa na Uingereza, alipohusika katika shughuli mbalimbali za uhandisi, pamoja na majaribio ya kutumia injini ya mvuke kwa maboti na mashua.
Mnamo mwaka 1806 alirudi Marekani alipopewa kazi ya kutengeneza meli ya mvuke kwa usafiri wa abiria na mizigo kwenye mto Hudson kati ya New York na Albany.
Hii ilikuwa meli ya mvuke ya kwanza iliyoweza kutekeleza shughuli zake bila matatizo na kufaulu kiuchumi.
Kaunti ya Fulton (kata katika jimbo la Georgia) iliitwa jina lake.
