I don't know exactly what they do on en or fr etc, but it doesn't make sense. Bambi

Bambi is a 1942 American animated film produced by Walt Disney and based on the book Bambi, A Life in the Woods by Austrian author Felix Salten. The film was released by RKO Radio Pictures on August 13, 1942, and it is the fifth film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

Yeah, I remember in 1991 O.P.P. was on the radio all the time, just like in 1985 I was living in Manhattan and Run DMC was like the first mega crossover hip hop group in the city, that was when people in the city had boomboxes and rock was still the main item on the music menu. Mobile main page

Hello Muddyb Blast Producer, I recently spoke with GerardM on IRC about the possibilities of creating a mobile main page, to make the situation better for mobile users to retrieve information from Wikipedia on their mobile phones. I hadn't earlier the time to write a message, but now I can. I created for GerardM a mobile version of the main page on nl-wiki (not exactly linked well yet), and the question so far I understood is to make a mobile main page for sw-wiki. In my idea, I think a mobile main page should be a page that contains stuff which helps the mobile user to get easy to the information (s)he wants. This is my main thought about mobile mainpages, but besides this I would like to know how you think about such page? Hello Muddyb Blast Producer, An mobile page contains rougly three things: 1. content, 2. the structure of a page, and 3. the look of a page. The first one, the content, is something I can discuss with you about, but I do not speak Swahili, so that part seems to be for you. The second one, the structure, is something I will take care of. The third one is the look, which we both have to do.

I think we can take the nl-wiki mobile page as an example on what we base the sw-wiki mobile page on. Then there is something we can use what seems to work.

The content must be short, as mobile phones have a limited screenwidth and possible people pay per bite. In my personal view it is a good idea to welcome people, so that would be the first thing to start with, in Swahili-language (and everything else too). On nl-wiki we also tell in very short what Wikipedia is, but we think the first lines are to long, and those possible will change with further developments.

Second top-section: Then the most importand pages which explain what the key-elements are of wat Wikipedia is. On nl we linked to the article Wikipedia, we linked to an overview page on what several ways of navigation is possible, then the key principes of Wikipedia, and a link to explain what free content is. So far I know mobile users can't edit, so much explaining about how to edit seems not neccesairy. This second top-section, may also move to the almost bottom of the mobile page, it is just what you/others would like. The pagestructure is very flexible.

The main sections: On nl-wiki we have on our regular main page several things added, but for the mobile page I selected only the short things to make the main page not too full and not too long, and still interesting. I added: *short newlines (with links to articles so people can read about the background what was in the news (daily maintained by users); *known people we died recently, linked to their biographie (daily maintained by users); *"Did you know..."-lines (they change each day automatically, and we have 366 templates of them for each day of the year), they should be really interesting for people to know, with links to articles of course; *This day in history (changes automatically and we have 366 templates for each day of the year), with links to articles; *picture of the day, changes daily and is determined by a voting on Commons for many wiki's, the captions below the pictures contain links to relevant articles.

And then finally the bottom-section with links for how people can make contact with Wikipedia, Kanusho kwa jumla, and a link to the Wikimedia Foundation.

This is the way how it is done on nl-wiki, but you have to decide for sw-wiki what it should be and how it can be fulled in. Maybe the above description gives suggestions for the regular main page as well.

Then the third part, the look of the page. Maybe the colours of the nl-mobile page are just fine, but to have every main page for mobile phones the same colours make it possible very boring. So, the question is, what colours do you like to give to your mobile page.

I think, if I have to make the mobile page for sw-wiki alone, it will be impossible because I can't read Swahili. If you miss the basic codes for making tables and such like the ones on nl-wiki, than you can't do it all by yourself only. So the point is that we have to work together to create a mobile page for sw-wiki. So please, write down your ideas that I can read about them. Need help

Salam Muddy! How are you? How is sw.wiki going? Sorry if I in write english, you know my swahili is getting worse... I thought I'd ask you something. I am planning to come visit Dar and Zanzibar this august, around 7-15. Will you be round there? I have a practical question too. I'm thinking that maybe we (me and wife) could spend a week in Dar and then move to Zanzibar. As far as you know, is that easy to move to Dar to Zanzibar in that period? I mean, I think there are ferries or boats that do that trip, but are they going to be busy? Should we book them? Or are there so many of them that we can be sure we will find out one when we need it? You know, this would be my first time in Bongo so I don't know much of the place. Perhaps we could meet too if you're there in that period, that would be nice!

This is not request of user unblock so no rules are broken, this is request to fix template problem which was already blocked even long before arrival of this blocked user. So please paste into obsolete Template:Alfabeti_ya_kigiriki_kamili following text:

Semi protection means only autoconfirmed accounts can edit. None of the Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale vandals from what I can see were autoconfired, because they were blocked. To be autoconfirmed they have to be four days old. My account isn't even autoconfirmed yet. Most of the iw can be fixed by bot accounts but they can't edit when it's on full protection. Also Charlotte's Web and Home on the Range were vandalized but did not get protected (even though Home on the Range is a Disney movie). These should be semied too if you ask me. Otherwise maybe Obersachse or another bot editor has to post on the talk pages what to correct, which gets tiresome by hand. Also The Princess and the Frog doesn't have a movie poster, so that would always help (add the poster). I noticed though the Bambifan101 socks which are the other reason the pages get vandalized also posted a lot of machine translation in the articles, so it might need to be fixed. Can i ask you some questions: 1. some user worked on companies listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange and there were a bunch of articles being placed in two different categories (my feeling was something like "Makampuni katika Soko la Hisa la Nairobi" would be easier: please let me know what you think and i can re-sort the articles. / the same for the parliamentary constituencies in Kenya: which one is right? / and national football teams (where i already moved articles in the hope of linking them to all the football related en-templates) ...? if you know a good phrasing, i can reorganize them all accordingly. 2.: i believe it would help to organize football clubs and other articles in Sport-by-country categories - if there is already or if you can think of a good way to name those that would be great too. what i mean,

1 Jamii:Soko la Hisa la Nairobi has two identical sub-categories collecting companies listed on the NSE: these two categories should be one category. my question is, which one is the better to keep - or, if none sounds good - what name the category should have. (i can then move all articles into that (new) category.

2 Jamii:Bunge la Kenya has two categories collecting constituencies, namely Jamii:Maeneo Bunge ya Kenya and Jamii:Majimbo ya Uchaguzi ya Kenya: again, all articles in the two categories should go into one - (maybe even with a different name). This is a big one: each category contains a lot of articles, especially "Jamii:Majimbo ya Uchaguzi ya Kenya". I am sure there should be one name? (this may be too much for me, i wanted to mention it.

3 for the national football teams, there at the moment three articles: Afrika Kusini, Jibuti and Kenya. in addition, many articles and templates give links to those three and other national football teams (see Majadiliano ya kigezo:Fb). i dont know well, but i have the impression that "Timu ya taifa ya soka ya " and " Timu ya taifa ya kandanda" are the most common names. which one should it be?

4 i want to add categories into Jamii:Michezo nchi kwa nchi, because many sport-related articles arent linked to the sports-category. how does it say for example for germany: "Jamii:Michezo nchi Ujerumani" or "Jamii:Michezo za Ujerumani" or "Jamii:Michezo wa Ujerumani" or something else? of course all other countries will then have the same (e.g. "Jamii:Michezo nchi Kenya")

2. I've got nothing to express on this. User:Baba Tabita was the one consulted with the guy who was creating those articles on that categories. Please consult with him (however, it'll take sometime to be replied 'cause the guy is not more active).

3. I didn't know which one to choose, but right after I googled both of them, found that they are all a useful. But soka is more common than kandanda. Nonetheless, soka is English term which is Swahilized from the "soccer". Kandanda is absolutely Swahili word for "football" or "soccer". In this case, you have to choose the right one which would suit for the general mean.

for airports i am looking for sw words for: "surface"/"road surface" (of the runway: asphalt or gravel or so...) which translation is best in the context of airports (or roads): i found ubapa, wajihi, sura and uso?

for universities i noticed there were two translations for "established" or "founded": the two versions are "kimeanzishwa" and "kinaendelea" - which one sounds better? whateverr word is best, we can also use it for the foundation date of companies or other organizations.

More categories (clarification)

i dont understand what is going on with the National Parks: there are two categories for Kenya and Tanzania > here. So the first thing i wonder, if we make them all the same (with or without "za" or whatever is right?) - is the "nchini"-Variant possible here: "...la Taifa nchini XY" or does the "...la Taifa ya XY" sound better? Then, inside these two categories i have more questions: in TAN them mostly called "Hifadhi la Taifa" , in KE they are mostly called "Mbuga ya Taifa". What is the difference? Is it possible to have them all the same? If one name works for all, would it then also work for national parks elsewhere? (i just found this but also other sources with eighter Mbuga or Hifadhi?)

Hi there! Hifadhi za Taifa katika Afrika. Au Hifadhi za Taifa Afrika, i.e Hifadhi "za" is correct one. Hifadhi la Taifa was not accurate. Hifadhi ya Taifa nchini... It is accurate.
