Talaka
Talaka (kutoka Kiarabu طلاق) ni hatua ya ndoa kuvunjika moja kwa moja kabla ya mume au mke kufa.
Ni tofauti na utengano kati yao ambao unatokea au hata unakubaliwa rasmi na mamlaka husika: huo unawezesha au pengine unalenga warudiane baadaye.
Pia ni tofauti na tamko rasmi la mahakama ya nchi au ya dini kwamba ndoa haikufungwa kweli, kutokana na kasoro fulani iliyokuwepo wakati wa arusi.
Vatikani ni nchi pekee ambayo hairuhusu talaka, mbali ya Ufilipino ambayo inairuhusu kwa Waislamu tu.
Desturi na sheria kuhusu hatua hiyo na matokeo yake maishani zinatofautiana sana duniani. Mara nyingi unadaiwa uamuzi wa mamlaka fulani, lakini sehemu nyingine unatosha ule wa mume au wa mke tu au wa wote wawili pamoja. Nchi zilizoendelea kama vile Marekani[1] zina sheria za kudhibiti talaka na mawakili na wanasheria wanaowakilisha wanaotaka talaka.
Kwa kawaida uvunjifu wa ndoa una madhara makubwa kwa wote wawili, hasa yule mwenye hali nyonge zaidi (kwa kawaida mwanamke), lakini kwa namna ya pekee kwa watoto wao ambao wanaweza wakaathirika hasa kisaikolojia.[2]
