Chuki, kinyume cha pendo, ni hali ya mtu au kikundi cha watu kutopenda kitu fulani.

Mfano watu wema hawapendi uovu, kwa hiyo wana chuki na uovu. Chuki hiyo ni nzuri, kwa kuwa inajenga jamii.

Lakini mara nyingine chuki inalenga watu kwa misingi mbalimbali: ya binafsi, ya uchumi, ya siasa, ya jinsia, ya dini, ya asili n.k.

Inaweza ikatokana na kijicho na kuishia katika mauaji hata ya halaiki, kama vile mauaji ya kimbari. Hapo inaonekana wazi kuwa mbaya, hata pengine ya kishetani.
