Urani Rumbo
Urani Rumbo (20 Januari 1895 – 26 Machi 1936) alikuwa mwanafeministi, mwalimu, na mwandishi wa tamthilia wa Albania.
Alianzisha vyama mbalimbali vya kukuza haki za wanawake wa Kialbania, muhimu zaidi kati vyama hivyo ni Lidhja e Gruas (Kiswahili: Umoja wa Wanawake), mojawapo ya mashirika ya kwanza mashuhuri ya kifeministi nchini Albania.[1]
Wasifu
[hariri | hariri chanzo]Urani Rumbo alizaliwa Desemba 1895 huko Stegopul, kijiji karibu na Gjirokastër kusini mwa Albania. Baba yake, Spiro Rumbo, alikuwa mwalimu katika vijiji vya jirani, na mama yake Athana alikuwa mama wa nyumbani. Alikuwa na kaka watatu, Kornil, Thanas, na Dhimitër Rumbo, na dada Emily vilevile mwalimu katika shule ya msingi.[2]
Alipata elimu ya msingi na kumaliza darasa la sita katika shule ya Filiates, ambapo baba yake alifanya kazi kama mwalimu. Wakati huohuo alifahamu kazi za watu mashuhuri wa ngano za Kialbania na waandishi.[3] Alijua kuandika Kialbania na Kigiriki kwa ufasaha na kuanzia umri wa miaka kumi na tano alianza kufundisha vichapo vya Kialbania. Kuanzia 1910 Rumbo alihudhuria shule ya upili huko Ioannina, lakini elimu yake ilikatizwa na vita vya Balkan.[4] Wakati wa vita alijifundisha Kiitaliano na Kifaransa.
Kuanzia mwaka 1916 hadi 1917 alifanya kazi huko Dhoksat, mji ulio kusini mwa Albania, akiwa mwalimu wa fasihi ya Kialbania, ambako aliendeleza utumizi wa lugha ya Kialbania. Kuanzia 1917 hadi 1918 alifundisha huko Minul na Nokovë, na mnamo mwaka 1919 alifundisha katika shule ya De Rada ya Gjirokastër. Mnamo mwaka 1919 alianza mpango dhidi ya wanawake jua kusoma na kuandika kwa wanawake na mila ya kuwazuia wanawake kwa sehemu maalum za kaya. Mnamo mwaka 1920 alifungua shule ya Koto Hoxhi.[5] Shule ya Koto Hoxhi ilikuwa shule ya msingi ya miaka mitano ya wasichana, kutoka sehemu zote za Gjirokastër na za dini zote. Miaka michache baadaye akawa mkurugenzi wa shule.[6]
