[hariri chanzo]I used following sources to make corrections:
- http://www.wikinfo.org/index.php/Adamic_language (traditional Greek letter ordering left intact, but with phonetic adaptation of Greek Alphabet-first ever Vowel+Consonant script, to Adamic/Catholic Proto-Indo-European from before Babel-first ever language)
- http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skabelon:Græske_bogstaver (traditional Greek letter ordering)
- http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Græske_alfabet (correct numerical values of all letters)
I hope that these sources will be useful for you. 91.94.38.24 20:31, 20 Juni 2008 (UTC)
- I think it is ok although the multiple numbers with different letters - I have to think about that. What does it help and how meaningful is it? If you have dug into the question you will know that what is shown here (or in your references) is not "the" ancient Greek numbering. They had several competing ones (Homer took all letters to be 1-24). I prefer to keep this one simple for this wiki even if it is not complete. --Kipala (majadiliano) 20:40, 20 Juni 2008 (UTC)
- Multiple numbers must be present because:
- Stigma was too used for 6, when Digamma previously used for 6 was forgotten
- Heta descends from Eta, thus the same value 8
- Jot descends from Iota, thus the same value 10
- Qoppa was too used for 90, when San and Sho previously used for 90 were forgotten
- Sho descends from San, which San was called in Italian She, thus the same value 90
- Danish source - see below compiles ancient Greek numbering exactly here: http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Græske_alfabet#Hovedtabel in non-contradictory way. 79.162.47.125 09:15, 21 Juni 2008 (UTC)
- Your Danish wiki-table does not solve the question. It is not very useful because it refers Greek letters to Hebrew ones - but there is no direct connection between the two, both stemming from Phoenician which, however, is not referred to in the Danish table. Why?? Anyway I am not sure if you are familiar with the history of the Greek alfabet. --Kipala (majadiliano) 10:33, 21 Juni 2008 (UTC)

- Dear friend I appreciate that you try to help but I think we don`t need help on this article at the moment. Unfortuately the Dutch list is even less useful than the other one. I do not see a valid reason to mix Arabic and Hebrew into a table designed to show the Greek Alfabet. I explains absolutely nothing but rather confuses (not me - I read all three scripts). For the numbering value we might consider a different table if we do a separate article on the numeric values of Greek letters. For now it is enough. We do not have to explain here that μ could mean 1000, 12 or 40 depending on the system used, we stick to the predominant one. --Kipala (majadiliano) 12:42, 29 Juni 2008 (UTC)
- I stated ONLY that Dutch table is helpful only for predominant numbering sequence, because lists it in proper and full alphabetic order. 87.96.11.21 07:43, 30 Juni 2008 (UTC)
Kipala, please see meta:Babel#Cross-wiki hoax? Greek letter "Yot". Everything this anon says should be taken with more than a grain of salt. We've just had to ban him on the English Wikipedia, and he's been spreading his misinformation campaign across dozens of wikis now. Future Perfect at Sunrise (majadiliano) 07:48, 30 Juni 2008 (UTC)

It sequences whole Greek alphabetic order along with numerals. If you will look at it, you will understand assignation of numbers, that they are incrementing constantly, allowing only repetitions without distorting increment direction, thus only forth, but NEVER BACK AND FORTH. I do not understand Swahili at all. I think that you have problems with understanding numbering sequence only because archaic letters were listed in your template outside full ordering sequence. 79.162.1.235 08:23, 1 Julai 2008 (UTC)

Please enable me editing Template:Alfabeti ya Kigiriki kamili - I need to fix following errors:
- Adjust spellings of archaic letters according to http://unicode.org/Public/UNIDATA/UnicodeData.txt , should be Digamma, Stigma, Heta, San, Koppa, Disigma, Sho - more preferable here
- Fix bad wikilinks like Delta which is about river but not letter and Digamma/Disigma which even if is not original name like Wau/Sampi, at least is uniformly modern
- Add variant displaying code from et:Template:Kreeka tähestik to enable variant letter display like et:Alfa-et:Disigma - different letter in each article
I already added references to Alfabeti_ya_Kigiriki#Viungo_vya_Nje, they support my proposals. For example analogous gv:Abbyrlhit_Greagagh#Lettyryn_ass_ymmyd changes were already accepted. SMITHECAV (majadiliano) 17:13, 4 Juni 2010 (UTC)
- Dear visitor, if I understand correctly you don`t understand Kiswahili. It would have been a) nice and b) helpful if you followed nettiquette and first made a proposal on the discussion page and waited for reactions. I am not convinced about your proposal concerning digamma (wau?). You have not brought any quotable source. I do not see why you should start changing with sw. if you like to have a crusade against digamma in wikipedias across the globe - better start with English, German French - the big ones. We do not know you nor your qualities and cannot check on these. I am going to return this to digamma and lock the relevant articles. --Kipala (majadiliano) 18:00, 4 Juni 2010 (UTC)
- We can stick to digamma/disigma unification instead, as Greeks do, see el:Ελληνικό_αλφάβητο#Απαρχαιωμένα σημεία. Quotable sources are already added to Alfabeti_ya_Kigiriki#Viungo_vya_Nje, so read them - both wau/sampi & digamma/disigma are mentioned. I didn't edited Greek wiki at all, so it is trustable. I have approach of unifying to archaic wau/sampi and when not approved, I switch to modern digamma/disigma alternative unification. Please give me chance to edit Template:Alfabeti ya Kigiriki kamili, as you wished I inverted unification goal here, thanks.SMITHECAV (majadiliano) 18:30, 4 Juni 2010 (UTC)
