Karibu kwenye Wikipedia kwa Kiswahili!
Tunamfurahia kila mmoja anayeingia na kuungana nasi. Hii ni kamusi elezo ya maandishi huru. Unaweza kuandika makala uipendayo ama kuitafsiri kutoka Wikipedia ya lugha nyingine.
Ukipenda kutumia kurasa zetu za mwongozo na msaada, a) ukitumia simu bofya kwa "Dawati" chini kwenye dirisha lako na n) ubadilishe mwonekano wa Wikipedia kwa kubofya "Switch to old look" kwenye menyu upande wa kushoto.
Kwa mawili matatu labda tazama:

- Jamii:Msaada (makala zilizomo humo zinaweza kusaidia mara nyingi)

Jisikie huru kuuliza swali lolote lihusianalo na Wikipedia hii. Karibu kujitambulisha kwenye "Ukurasa wa mtumiaji". Ukitaka kupata kwanza uzoefu wa kuweza kuhariri Wikipedia, tafadhali tumia ukurasa wako kwa majaribio. Humo unaruhusiwa kujipatia uzoefu wa uundaji wa makala za Wikipedia! Ujue miiko:
- usilete kamwe matini wala picha kutoka tovuti za nje
- usiingize matangazo ya kibiashara (pamoja na kuelekeza kwa kurasa zenye matangazo).
- usimwage kamwe matini kutoka google-translate au programu za kutafsiri.
Tunakushauri pia kuandikisha email yako; haitaonekana na wengine lakini wataweza kukuandikia kupitia mfumo wa Wikipedia. Karibu sana!

- @Kipala Thank you for the swift comment. The Databox contained Wikidata properties which are not translated yet and that gives us an opportunity to challenge our community to help with the Kiswahili labels for those Wikidata properties. In that sense, we fully decolonize the internet into our own language just as we have our own Wikipedia. Once we do that, when change your language to Swahili, every button and everything will be in Swahili. I hope this is helpful. - Dear, thank you for your good intention but I ask you to stop this for now because I would not like to have to block you. I think we should first discuss in our community if we want this type of infobox or not. It definitively has a bit of "colonial" attitude (at least:impolite) trying to force something onto a language community which has not been requested, enters a lot of foreign language into its space and then a heap of categorization originating from a different culture.Besides I see a case where there was nonsense in the box ( Haroub Said Masoud labelled as "Turkish"), for Niamey you bring in a box whch doubles the existing image without caring to remove one copy). - @Kipala Alright and thank you for the warm reception. Please let me know what your thoughts are after looking at it carefully. Inasmuch as I didn't follow the protocols in getting this discussed, there's no iota ill intension nor malicious agenda or "Colonization" in the use of the Databox. It's rather an avenue to point to us some of the things that needs to be translated into our language (All the properties that still appear in English is an indication that we have not fully localized our Wikipedia and just creating Swahili labels for them will now make them in the translated language), reducing text of long infobox to a more powerful Wikidata powered infobox that is structured and how summarized data can speed up our whole agenda of providing quality and smarter information to the busy readers especially the youth of our today who are mostly the users of these resources. At least if you compare the articles without the Databox infobox and those that has Databox infobox, you would have found that it makes a lot of changes not only to the appearance of the articles but also to the standardization of the articles because it shows that your article is connected to Wikidata which can be read in so many other languages linked to it. I come in peace and mean no harm. I will stop but if you look at objectively without any lenses of prejudice, you would realized that it is a big fix for a language wikipedia like yours. I don't speak Swahili but with the power Wikidata, we able to connect articles to other languages and generate the infobox based on the available statement. - Thank you very much. I put the topic on the agenda of our coming admins conference. If you are familiar with it: What is the reason for some infoboxes to be very long, others short? Is there a way to link info from wikidata to infoboxes tailored for the need of a specific languages edition, without having to show all content assembled on wikidata? What to do about erroneous information contained (like the case of Haroub Said Masoud mentioned above) - is it necessary to register first at wikidata and to edit there?? As for doubled images, this has probably to be done manually afterwards? No way of suppressing the images if you use the infobox at all? Kipala (majadiliano) 18:01, 13 Oktoba 2022 (UTC)
