Tauni

Yersinia pestis iliyokuzwa mara 200 ikiwa na lebo ya fluoro. Bakteria hii ndiyo sababu ya aina mbalimbali za tauni.

Uvimbe maalumu wa tauni unaitwa bubo (kutoka Kigiriki).

Tauni ni maradhi ya kuambukiza inayosababishwa na bakteria Yersinia pestis. Inapatikana kwa kawaida katika maeneo kadhaa ya dunia yasiyo na maendeleo.
