Mtandao wa Hifadhi ya Ndege wa Shorebird Ulimwengu wa Magharibi(MHNSUM) ni uhifadhi ulengaji mkakati shorebird katika Amerika ilizinduliwa mwaka 1985. Lengo lake ni kuwalinda kuzaliana na makazi ya staging ya ndege wa pwani wanaohama.[1] Tovuti ya kwanza kuainishwa ilikuwa Delaware Bay, ambayo iliwekwa wakfu mnamo Mei 1986 kama tovuti ya Umuhimu wa Hemispheric.[2] Maeneo katika Mtandao wa Hifadhi ya Ndege wa Shorebird Ulimwengu wa Magharibi pia inaweza kuainishwa kama Maeneo ya Ndege muhimu, Ramsar ardhioevu ya umuhimu wa Mataifa au zote.
