Note that the reel (not shown) automatically reels in the waterhose on which the sprinkler is mounted. The sprinkler is also automated to move its waterbeam left to right (by pivoting), and the whole system is thus capable of irrigating a plot of land. Note that the tractor shown still runs on fossil fuels, yet were the tractor to use biobutanol or biodiesel, the tractor/water pumping would be very environmentally friendly aswell (besides being easily movable). |
