Ustad Ghulam Ali (kwa Kiurdu: غُلام علی; amezaliwa 5 Desemba 1940) ni mwimbaji wa ghazal kutoka nchini Pakistan wa Patiala Gharana. Pia amekuwa mashuhuri kwa uchezaji. Ghulam Ali alikuwa mwanafunzi wa Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (elder Ghulam Ali Khan). Ali pia alifundishwa na kaka zake Bade Ghulam Ali - Barkat Ali Khan na Mubarak Ali Khan.

Ghulam Ali anachukuliwa kuwa mmoja wa waimbaji bora wa ghazal wa enzi yake. Mtindo wake na tofauti zake katika kuimba Ghazals zimetajwa kuwa za kipekee, kwani anachanganya muziki wa kitamaduni wa Hindustani na ule wa ghazal, tofauti na mwimbaji mwingine yeyote wa ghazal. Ghulan ni maarufu sana nchini Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladeshi, na pia miongoni mwa watu wa Asia Kusini walioishi Amerika, Uingereza na nchi za Mashariki ya Kati.[1]

Ghazals zake nyingi maarufu zimetumika katika sinema za Bollywood. Ghazals zake maarufu ni pamoja na Chupke Chupke Raat Din, Kal Chaudhvin Ki Raat Thi, Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, Chamakte Chand Ko, Kiya Hai Pyar Jis, Mei Nazar Sé Pee Raha Hoon, Mastana Peeyé, Yé dil yé pagal dil, Apni Dhun Mein Rehta Hoon ghazal na Nasir Kazmi, "Ham Ko Kiske Gham Ne Maara". Albamu yake ya hivi karibuni "Hasratein" iliteuliwa katika kitengo cha Albamu Bora ya Ghazal kwenye Tuzo za Star GIMA 2014. Alikuwa amemwooa Afsana Ali na wana binti aitwae Manjari Ghulam Ali.

Mnamo mwaka wa 2015, kwa sababu ya maandamano ya Shiv Sena huko Mumbai, tamasha lake lilifutwa.[2] Baadae, alipokea mialiko kutoka kwa Waziri Mkuu wa Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, Waziri Mkuu wa Bengal Magharibi Mamata Banerjee na Waziri Mkuu wa Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav.[3] Baada ya kughairiwa, alitumbuiza huko Lucknow, India,[3] New Delhi na huko Trivandrum, na Kozhikode, Kerala, India.[4]

Katika habari iliyoripotiwa mnamo 2015, Ghulam Ali alisema kwamba hatafanya maonyesho huko India siku zijazo. Alisema kuwa hataki kutumiwa kwa masuala ya kisiasa.[4]

Jina lake 'Ghulam Ali' alipewa na baba yake, shabiki mkubwa wa Bade Ghulam Ali Khan ambaye, zamani, alikuwa akiishi Lahore. Ghulam Ali alikuwa akimsikiliza Khan kila wakati tangu utoto wake.

Ghulam Ali alikutana na Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, kwa mara ya kwanza, wakati alikuwa katika ujana wake. Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan alikuwa amezuru Kabul, Afghanistan na, wakati wa kurudi India, baba yake Ghulam Ali alimwomba Ustad amchukue mwanawe kama mwanafunzi. Lakini Khan alisisitiza kwamba kwa kuwa hakuwa karibu na mjini, mafunzo ya kawaida hayangewezekana. Lakini baada ya maombi ya mara kwa mara kutoka kwa baba ya Ghulam Ali, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan alimwuliza kijana Ghulam Ali kuimba kitu. Haikuwa rahisi kuwa na ujasiri wa kuimba mbele yake. Alijipa ujasiri wa kuimba Thumri "Saiyyan Bolo Tanik Mose Rahiyo Na Jaye." Baada ya kumaliza, Ustad alimkumbatia na kumfanya mwanafunzi wake.[1]

Ghulam Ali alianza kuimba ndani ya Redio Pakistan, Lahore mnamo 1960. Pamoja na kuimba ghazals, Ghulam Ali anatunga muziki kwa ghazals yake. Nyimbo zake ni za raga na wakati mwingine ni pamoja na mchanganyiko wa kisayansi wa ragas. Anajulikana kwa kuchanganya Gharana-gaayaki ndani ya ghazal na hii inaupa uimbaji wake uwezo wa kugusa mioyo ya watu. Anaimba nyimbo za Kipunjabi pia. Nyimbo zake nyingi za Kipunjabi zimekuwa maarufu na zimekuwa sehemu ya ugawanyiko wa kitamaduni wa Punjab. Ingawa katokea Pakistan, Ghulam Ali bado ni maarufu nchini India kama vile alivyo Pakistan. Asha Bhosle amefanya albamu za pamoja za muziki naye.

Alitambulishwa kwenye sinema ya Kihindi na wimbo wa filamu wa Kihindi Chupke Chupke Raat Din ulioandikwa na mshairi Hasrat Mohani katika filamu ya B. R. Chopra, Nikaah (1982).[5] Ghazals nyingine maarufu ni pamoja na Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa na Awaargi. Mara nyingi huchagua ghazal za washairi mashuhuri.

Wakati akiulizwa juu ya vikundi vya pop vya Pakistani, Ghulam Ali alijibu, "Kwa kweli, nimeshangazwa sana na mtindo wao wa kuimba. Je! Unawezaje kuimba wimbo kwa kukimbia, kururuka na kuzunguka jukwaani? Jukwaa linalenga kutumbuiza sio sarakasi."[1]

Ghulam Ali pia ameimba ghazals za Kinepali kama Kina kina timro tasveer, Gajalu tee thula thula aankha, Lolaaeka tee thula na Ke chha ra diun katika lugha ya Kinepali na Narayan Gopal, mwimbaji anayejulikana wa Nepali, na mtunzi Deepak Jangam. Nyimbo hizo ziliandikwa na Mfalme Mahendra wa Nepal. Nyimbo hizi zilikusanywa katika albamu inayoitwa Narayan Gopal, Ghulam Ali Ra Ma, na ni maarufu kati ya wapenzi wa muziki wa Kinepali hadi leo.[1]

Moja ya matamasha yake ya kukumbukwa ilikuwa katika Taj Mahal.[6] Alipoulizwa juu ya siku zijazo za waimbaji wa ghazal, alisema alifurahiya waimbaji maarufu kama mwimbaji wa ghazal Adithya Srinivasan, ambaye alifanya kazi ya ufunguzi kwenye tamasha lake mnamo 2012 huko Bangalore.[7] Hivi karibuni, mnamo Februari 2013, maestro alikua mtu wa kwanza kupokea tuzo ya Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
